The Country of Kyrgyzstan

My name is Josie and I'm 10 years old. I was adopted from Kyrgyzstan when I was 6 months old. You might not ever have heard of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is a small country in Central Asia. It's only about 77,000 squares miles. It has a population of about 6 million people. it used to be part of the Soviet Union but became an independent country in 1991. It is a beautiful country full of mountains and lakes. The capital is Bishkek and I'm from a small town right outside of the capital called Tokmok. My mom and I have decided to take a trip back to Kyrgyzstan so I can see the country where I was born. It takes a looong time to get there...almost 28 hours of travel. First we are flying to Toronto and then to Istanbul and finally Kyrgyzstan. I am very excited to see where I was born and can't wait to see the orphanage where I lived. I'm also nervous because of the long airplane rides and they speak a different language (Russian and Kyrgyz). I'm not sure what to expect but I can't wait!
